HIEA 115 Self Introduction

Hello, everyone. Nice to meet you all. My official English name is Katheryn Lin, but I prefer to be called Kathy. I am currently a senior majoring in Japanese Studies. I also have Economics and International Studies as my minors. I am taking this class to fulfill the International Studies minor requirements. This is my third class with Prof Matsumura.

I came from Taiwan after finishing 7th grade. I am capable of using at least three languages (Mandarin Chinese, English, and Japanese). In addition to my interest towards Japanese culture, I am also interested in topics that are related to the whole East Asia, which includes China, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, etc. I hope this class could help me know more about Japan and expend my perspective. I am looking forward to learn new things throughout this quarter.
